Denita R. Bonhart has over 25 years of experience in municipal government. She currently serves as the Manager of Special Projects for Cleveland Division of Water. She is responsible for identifying and coordinating professional development opportunities for employees, ensuring CWD operations align with City of Cleveland strategic initiatives such as DEI, partnering with human resources to recruit and fill critical vacancies and preparing the Division to meet the needs of the emerging workforce. Denita has certifications from Kent State University in Project Management (2018) and Inclusive Leadership (2023) with an emphasis in Women in Leadership and Embracing Diversity & Inclusion from Cuyahoga County Corporate College. Denita is a member of AWWA Diversity & Member Inclusion Committee (DMIC) and a trustee of the Ohio Section. Her interests include providing opportunities for underrepresented groups to participate in section leadership and committees as well as developing strategies and initiatives for supplier diversity in the water industry.
